AUSTIN'S PODCAST
Lab resource: http://sic.conversationsnetwork.org/shows/detail3866.html-The speaker and publisher in this Podcast is Peter deCourcy Hero who is the former president of Community Foundation Silicon Valley (CFSV).
- The format of this video is a recoding that people can just hit the play button and listen to Mr. Hero considers how philanthropy is changing around the world, and the implications of such developments for online giving. also during this podcast he mentions what he thinks is missing as far as online giving goes in present time.
-This particular Podcast was updated last in October of last year, so evidently it does not update very often.
-On this web page, it say that this podcast is for the "conversations network." Also there is a list of people who have listened to and enjoyed the podcast. I believe this particular podcast is for anyone interested in how the Internet, a part of all our lives, is changing and adapting to the constantly changing world.
- Though I couldn't find an exact number of subscribers, every podcast had a list of people that have viewed the videos, and it appeared that there were many people who are subscribed to this podcast site. It is a non-profit organization which much of the proceeds go to the conversation network itself. -the particular publication that is linked above was made possible by Stanford graduate school of business, and the Center for Social Innovation.
http://sic.conversationsnetwork.org/shows/detail3862.html-
In this podcast, the speaker and Publisher Permal Shah who is the president of Kiva.Kiva is the world's first person-to-person micro lending website, this allows people to give directly to new entrepreneurs to help and benefit them with as amounts as small as $25.
-This Podcast is similar to the one above, Shah just talks about Kiva and their first big break, and how and who it benefits, in an Informational format.
-This podcast was also updated in October 2008, which indicates that both of these podcasts are not updated very often, or that since its just shy of a year old, they mnite be updated annualy.-This podcast was also inteded for the Conversations network, Which looks like accrding to the page is a lot of stanford graduates and former students that are in various fields. However is not limited to the public so i believe the intended audience is again, anyone intersted in the prgression of the online world.
-Since this Podcast was on the same website, i again had difficulty finding the exact amount of prescribers to this non-profit organization, however to join is free, and you may donate as you desire.
-Since both of these are non-profit there really isnt any commercial sponsors other that of the Stanford graduate school of business, and the Center for Social Innovation.
